Taste of New Bern

The fourth annual Taste of New Bern was presented at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center on March 20, 2007. Many of New Bern's fine restaurants offered samples of their best and most popular menu items. A cash bar was available for those wishing to compliment their 'tastes' with a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink. Music was provided by Cold Biscuit, a local Soft Country band and El Jaye, a one man jazz band. A Taste of New Bern cookbooks were available for purchase, and Neuse Riverkeeper Fudge, the latest flavor created by our friends at Bear City Fudge made it's debut.

The Board of Directors and staff of the NRF extend their thanks and appreciation to the restaurants who came out to help make this event a rousing success. We alos want to thank Atlantic Beverages, Mutual Distributing and Minges Bottling for their generous donations of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

It goes without saying that we couldn't host an event of this size without the support of all our wonderful volunteers. Our supporters worked long and hard in planning, preparing for and running Taste of New Bern 2007. We thank them and we appreciate their willing participation.
Special recognation is due Chef Smoke of the Flame and Karen and Tiffany of Bear City Fudge.
Chef Smoke coordinated all the restaurants and created a spectacular display of edible art complete with a flowing fountain of chocolate. And when it comes to chocolate, the ladies from Bear City Fudge cant be beat!  Neuse Riverkeeper Fudge was a huge hit!
